Introduction

Allah, the Exalted, says in the Holy Qur'an: (Say: "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?")

Educational programs rank high among the activities of Qatar Charity since acquiring knowledge, according to Islam, is a duty for every Muslim.

Knowledge, for sure, takes away ignorance and underdevelopment and leads the nation towards a civilizational revival .This, in turn, helps us to get the leading role back.

Sponsorship.

Qatar Charity concentrates on sponsorship in the following educational fields:

1- Students.

Sponsoring needy students so that they can follow their education.

Some 850 students benefit from this program. Each student receives Q.R. 150 monthly.

2- Teachers.

Around 180 teachers benefit from this program. Each one receives Q.R. 300 monthly.

3- Muhaffaiz (an instructor who helps others to memorize The Qur'an)
This project aims at helping students to learn and understand the Qur'an, as well as supporting Memorization Centres.

Some 200 instructors benefit from this project. Each one receives Q.R. 300 monthly.

4- Da'iyah (Pl./Da'iyahs :those who invite others to Islam).

It amis to spread Islamic knowledge.

Around 500 persons in thirty countries benefit from this program. Each one receives Q.R. 300 monthly.

5- Printing and distributing the Holy Qur'an.

Qatar Charity takes care of printing and distributing The Holy Qur'an.

51500 copies have been printed and distributed. Each one costs Q.R. 10.
