Via an All-Comprehensive
Pioneering Humanitarian Project
Qatar Charity is highly interested in its pioneering project "orphan care". This project is devoted to this Tender Section of the society: "the Orphans", or so to speak, "The Silent Pain". They are in need of a lot of tender loving care, tender hearts, warm touches, and humane feelings in order to conduct them towards a good life , an all-well-built-character, via furnishing them with all life requirements and essentials, which make them live normally as others do.
Q.C. is a Pioneer in Orphan Care.
Q .C. launched the "Orphan Care" project in 1988 as a form of humanitarian work towards the orphans of Afghan War. It was primarily a positive response to the Divine Directives.
Allah, The Exalted, says in the Holy Qur'an: {They ask you [Muhammad] what they should spend.Say,”Whatever you spend of good is for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good – indeed, Allah Knows it well.} [2:215]
Q.C. is one of the greatest NGOS that work in the field of Orphan Care in/outside the State of Qatar, since it sponsors around 20103 orphans in Asia, Europe and Africa.
Charity Begins at Home!
The above-mentioned phrase constitutes one of the most well-known Islamic Fundamentals. So, Q.C. started its Pioneering Project "Orphan Care" at home in 2003.This project is carried out on these two levels:(1) monthly corporeal sponsorship which amounts to Q.R.395,and (2)an all-comprehensive sponsorship" Leaders of the Future " which covers all life requirements for an orphan. Around 273 orphans are enrolled in Q.C. registers.
According to Mr. Jassim al-Jassim, the Manager of Social Dept.at the Charity, Q.C. organizes a full-day-activity each 2-3 weeks that includes: a lecture on Fiqh and morals, a course in education and life skills, and a short visit to some amusing facilities.
Widespread and Affectionate Touches.
As for educational support, Mr. al-Jassim said:" Q.C. offers education fees to centers that teach orphans .Q.C. also carries out the school bag project and provides the students with stationery and other requirements such as school uniforms. Orphans also receive coupons at some seasons such as Ramadan and Udhiyah(sacrifice).
"The Social Department, according to Mr. al-Jassim, includes four main sections, among which is the "Arab Countries Section" that manages all affairs related to orphans, poor students, needy families, and the handicapped. It runs the sponsorship of 9294 orphans ,among which are 4018 through our offices in Gaza and al-Khaleel, 1800 in Iraq, 2145 in Yemen, 398 in Jordan and 657 in Lebanon.
Asian Countries.
"Asian countries Affairs Section" supervises the sponsorship of 4355 orphans, among which are 1072 in Bangladesh, 220 in Kashmir, 538 orphans in Afghanistan, and 559 in Indonesia.
"Europe Affairs Section" directs the affairs of sponsorship of 3244 orphans, among which are 2000 in Bosnia, 553 orphans in Albania, and 691 in Kosofa.
And in Africa, the Charity sponsors 1095 orphans in Sudan,351 in Morocco,688in Somalia, 199in Chad, 250 in Eritrea,150 in Tanzania and Ghana,209 in Kenya and 100 in Togo as well as tens of orphans in other African countries. So, the total number of orphans in Africa amounted to 3309 persons.

Mr. Jassim al-Jassim, the Manager of the Social Dept.at the Q.C., has invited well-doers and benefactors in Qatar to continue their generous support to this Humanitarian Project since supporting this Noble Goal represents their Full Genuine commitment to the Divine Order :
{And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphans, and the captive. We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude}[76:8-9].
In the Prophetic Hadith,"I and he who sponsors an orphan will enter Paradise together” al-Bukhari.
He appeals to them for seizing the opportunity since Q.C. represents the Open Gate to Charitable Work.
