Qatar Charity Distributes Clothes
To Orphans in Bangladesh

Qatar Charity has recently completed its humanitarian charitable project of distributing clothes to the orphans of Khubaib Ibn ‘Udai Centre in Bangladesh. Some 351 orphans benefited from this project which amounted to Q.R.42.000 (equivalent to US$ 11508).The clothes included: school uniforms, sport costumes, underwear garments, different kinds of shoes, bed and winter covers and so on. The orphans received such a gentle gesture with joy and well-wishing to benefactors.

Mr. Jassim ‘Abdullah al-Jassim , the Manager of the Social Department at the Charity, stated : “ Khubaib Centre is one of the three orphanages that are sponsored by the Charity through its Office in Bangladesh. The other orphanages are Doha Orphanage - 400 persons - and Sheikh Hamad Ibn Ali Ibn Jaber al-Thani Orphanage -150 persons, as well as 59 females who live with some families. This means that the Charity sponsors 950 orphans in Bangladesh.”

“Qatar Charity has completed the third stage of the Vaccination Campaign concerning Tetanus and Hepatitis B.The Charity offered 840 vaccines in the first stage, some 430 of which were used in Khubaib Centre.

In the same vein, Mr. al-Jassim said: “Orphan sponsorship covers: education, accommodation, food, clothing, health, amusement and psychological and social fields. This, in turn, forced us to increase the value of sponsorship so that we can meet the needs of this segment of the society.”
