Organizes Iftar Meals in 14 Locations
During the first eight days of Ramadan, Qatar Charity offered Iftar meals to about 29,950 fasting persons in the following 14 locations: National Library RA, Museum, Fareej 'Abdul 'Aziz , Mushaireb(Sa'id Ib Jubair),'Ali Ib 'Ali Mosque, New Rayyan, Khalifa Southern City, Mushaireb (al-Husain Ibn 'Ali),al-Wakrah,al-Khoor, Qatar Charity Stores in the Industrial Area,'Umar Ibn 'Abdul Aziz and New Doha.
Some 5990 mass meals were offered to poor fasting persons during the first eight days. Each meal suffices 5 persons.
Depending on making new contracts with well-qualified caterers, the
Charity increased the number of meals due to increase in number of poor fasting persons and wayfarers in order to alleviate the pains of their hard life.
According to Engineer 'Abdullah Husain al-Ni'mah, the Executive Manager of Qatar
Charity, Iftar mass banquets are among the good traditions of our society. Thus, Charities are established for the Sake of Allah and for seeking the best reward in the Hereafter.
Ramadan banquets, materially and morally, constitute the best form of social cordiality among the members of the society.
That is why this project will be continued throughout the month of Ramadan.
