Udhiya (Sacrifice) Waqf Annual Project
Revenue Amounts to Q.R.200.000
Qatar Charity has dedicated the amount of Q.R. 200.000 of Udhiya Waqf of 1427 A.H. to support the project of Udhiya which it (Q.C.) carried out on the occasion of 'Eid al-Adha inside and outside the State of Qatar .Some 801 sacrifices were slaughtered in the present season.
Mr. Mu'az 'Abul Haleemal-Ramahi ,head of Waqf Section at the Charity, has definitely stated that: "100 sheep will be distributed among the poor inside Qatar, while 191 sheep will be distributed in Palestine, 208 sheep in Somalia, 102 sheep in India ,100 in Bangladesh and 100 in Sri Lanka.''
"Qatar Charity offers thanks and prays to Allah, the Great and al-Mighty, to reward the benefactors for supporting this project and invites well-doers in general to support other projects in order to help the Charity find continuous sources for the poor,
indicating that such charitable work constitutes an ongoing Sadaqa on behalf of benefactors .", he added.
By the way, the Charity launched the Udhiya Waqf Project in 1425 with the purpose reviving the Waqf Sunnah in order to establish a well-balanced society, where there is mutual help.
This project is intended to offer food to the needy and to make them happy, especially on the occasion of'Eid al-Adha and the like.
There are three types of Waqf with different values:
- al-Fidaa Waqf : Q.R.3000.
- al-Ithaar Waqf:Q.R.6.000.
- al-Ihsan.Waqf:Q.R. 9000.
