Qatar Charity (QC) distributed school uniforms and bags to orphaned students in the Sheikha Aisha Bint Hamad Bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah Model Orphans City in Sudan’s River Nile State. The distribution of the school uniforms and bags came as part of Qatar Charity’s orphan care efforts supported by the benefactors of Qatar.
The project aims to support the orphans and provide a suitable environment for them, in addition to reducing the burdens of the educational requirements on their families.
The generosity of the benevolent people of Qatar created an atmosphere of joy and happiness for the orphans, said Mr. Youssef Abdullah, the director of Social Affairs and the representative of the Executive Director of the Ad Damer District where the Sheikha Aisha Bint Hamad Bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah Model Orphans City is located. He appreciated Qatar Charity's continuous humanitarian and development support in the region, indicating that the uniforms, bags, and school supplies were distributed to the orphans at a time when they were most in need.
The mothers of the beneficiary orphans expressed their great happiness with the school bags and uniforms provided for their sons and daughters, thanking the benefactors of Qatar and Qatar Charity for this humanitarian initiative.
Rehab Othman, a mother of two female orphans, said that her daughters were very happy with the receiving of the bags and uniforms, as well as other school supplies.
Umm Salama, a mother of three orphans, said that many families and mothers of orphans could not provide school bags, supplies, and new uniforms for their children. She indicated that the uniforms provided by Qatar Charity contributed to alleviating the suffering of many mothers of the orphans.
It is worth mentioning that Qatar Charity pays great attention to the orphans by implementing various programs and projects, as part of its social welfare efforts for those sponsored in Sudan, numbering 13,291.
