Long years of continuous instability and prolonged drought have created a severe water crisis in Africa. Water scarcity changed the lives of almost 10 million people in parts of Somalia, Sudan, Kenya, Mali and Ghana. Over the past few years, the weather in this part of the world has become extremely dry, with a shortage of rainfall having a dramatic impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of families. Africa’s water crisis led to a mass displacement of millions, creating what UN officials called “Pre-Famine situation”.
In alignment with the UN’s sustainable development goals (Goal No#5: Water and Sanitation), we launch our milestone campaign 555 in 5 African countries (Somalia, Sudan, Kenya, Mali and Ghana). We aim at drilling 555 water wells across these 5 countries and bring life back to desperate families and help them walk towards the betterment of their communities.
Be part of the 555 campaign and contribute to making every drop of water in Africa available, clean and safe. Please join us now.
