These terms and conditions take into account the policies and procedures adopted and approved in Qatar Charity and the laws governing charitable work and the Sharia provisions. These terms and conditions are the main reference for regulating the relationship between the Donor and all of his/her charitable transactions and Qatar Charity in a way that guarantees their legitimate rights.
Qatar Charity endeavors to use all donations received from Donors for the purposes specified by the Donor, in accordance with the policies and procedures in force at Qatar Charity. And in the event of circumstances that are beyond the control of Qatar Charity, Qatar charity reserves the right to utilize the donations received to other projects or sponsorship programs according to what Qatar Charity identifies as the common good.
The Donor must present his/her personal data in a clear and accurate manner and shall be legally responsible for their validity.
In the event where the Donor did not include personal data or included the data incorrectly, and it was not possible to implement the donation according to the Donor's desire, Qatar Charity will consider the donation an unrestricted fund and it has the right to direct the amount according to what it deems appropriate.
The Donor affirms that the source of the donated funds is legally legitimate and bears solely the result otherwise.
The Donor has the right in the event where there was an error during the donation process to contact Qatar Charity’s call center in seventy-two hours (72) only to fix the error by either amending the donation amount or refunding the amount fully, noting that after the specified timeframe has passed the Donor loses this right.
The relationship between the Donor and Qatar Charity is a contractual one based on providing humanitarian and development services in return for a financial contribution.
A project contract will be signed with the Donor, which includes all project details and the obligations of the two parties.
In the event that a contract is not signed with the Donor or the donation is not allocated for a specific purpose, the unrestricted funds policy will be applied to this donation.
In the event that the Donor does not fulfill the remaining payments for a period of up to three months from the due date of his personal project payment, or the monthly allowances for sponsored persons registered under his Donor profile, Qatar Charity has the right to transfer the received funds to other projects and persons in need according to what Qatar Charity identifies as the common good.
Qatar Charity deducts a percentage of the donation amount according to the custom in place to pay costs associated with money transfer fees, and operational costs in countries where Qatar Charity operates, and the spending required to complete and implement projects that are supervised by specialists, technicians, and engineers, in accordance with the control methods and standards approved in Qatar Charity, and in compliance with the instructions and controls of the Charity Regulatory Authority in Qatar (RACA). Qatar Charity constantly strives to reduce this amount to the minimum.
In the event that there are surplus amounts from the project funds for any reason, the surplus amount may be utilized according to what Qatar Charity identifies as the common good.
Coordination takes place between Qatar Charity and the Donor to change the sponsored persons or the project implementation country in the event of force majeure and emergency circumstances that may prevent or hinder the continuation of the sponsorship or the implementation of the project. In the event that no response is received from the Donor within 30 days of being notified, it constitutes approval of the change.
Qatar Charity applies strict standards in preserving Donor data and does not disclose it or share it with any institutions or other bodies and exerts utmost efforts to protect information systems. Additionally, and In compliance with local laws, and for the benefit of the public interest, Qatar Charity may share information with the relative authorities in Qatar upon legitimate request in accordance with the law.
Qatar Charity has the right to deduct a percentage of the donation to assure the impact of the projects of the same field.
Qatar Charity has the right to amend or remove the billboard of the project if it would harm and affect the reputation of Qatar Charity and charitable work.
In the event of conflict between the two versions of Terms and Conditions, the Arabic version will prevail.
The Donor acknowledges reading and accepting these terms and conditions.
