QC Organize Various Activities on Sports Day

Qatar Charity participated in many events, matches and activities organized on Qatar National Sports Day in the Aspire Zone Park in the presence of a large number of its officials and employees to emphasize the importance of sports in our lives and to raise awareness about regular exercise and physical activity.

Ali Ateeq Al Abdullah, Executive Director of the Executive Management of Communication and Media at Qatar Charity, said that Qatar Charity has always been keen to participate in many national events, especially in the activities of the National Sports Day, which receives the due attention from His Highness the Emir, pointing out that Qatar Charity, like other state institutions, participated in the activities of the country’s National Sports Day, which has become a lifestyle.

He expressed his sincere thanks to the Ministry of Culture and Sports for organizing these events as well as the Aspire Zone for giving the space to Qatar Charity for organizing its activities. He also thanked the former players, media persons and sports commentators for participating in the QC activities and for standing with Qatar Charity in other events inside and outside the country.

Matches between Female Employees

Director of Public Relations Department at Qatar Charity Adel Lamy said that strong football competitions were held in an atmosphere of fun between Qatar Charity Football Teams and former Qatari sportsmen’s teams, led by Captain Khamis Daham Al Suwaidi, Ibrahim Alghanim, Nasser Khalfan, Abdullah Alawi and Hamoud Yazidi, and participated in by media person Mohammed Saadoun and sports commentator Siwar Al Dahab, adding that competitions also haven been held between the teams of the QC’s different departments.

He noted that the female employees of Qatar Charity also participated in the events of the National Sports Day, pointing out that other competitions have been organized for women at the headquarters of the Qatar Women's Sports Committee, which included the football and volleyball matches between the female employees of Qatar Charity and the Qatar Women's Sports Committee sport in addition to walking and special activities for children.

Sports for All

Nasser Al-Mughaseib, Director of the International Cooperation Department at Qatar Charity, praised the Sports Day Initiative, stressing that it promotes sports culture by devoting a whole day to it and strengthens the social relations between citizens and residents, as the fields and sports facilities across the country have been made available for all groups; young and elderly to practice collective and individual sports of all kinds.

For his part, Mr. Khalid Ahmed Fakhro said: "We are pleased with the initiative of His Highness the Amir to entertain ourselves along with families and children. He thanked Qatar Charity for sponsoring and mobilizing its staff to interact with the various sectors of the country.
