Qatar Charity’s “Renovation Challenge” starts maintenance of third house
Funded by the Ideal Solutions Company, Qatar Charity (QC) started the maintenance of the third house under the “Renovation Challenge” programme, which aims to rehabilitate low-income families' homes and improve their living conditions.
The funding from the company will cover the complete maintenance of a home belonging to a low-income family in Al Gharafa. The maintenance includes electricity, ceramics, coating, plumbing and air conditioning, as well as providing complete kitchen equipment such as refrigerator, cooker, and cabinets.
Engineer Mahmoud Amer, Chairman of Ideal Solutions Company, expressed his happiness with participating in Qatar Charity’s “Renovation Challenge” programme, as part of his company’s responsibility towards the community, to renovate old homes of low-income families and provide adequate furniture to improve their living conditions.
The “Restoration Challenge” programme focuses mainly on the competition between companies to carry out the maintenance and renovation of low-income families’ homes. The project aims to promote voluntary work and achieve social solidarity by activating partnerships to serve the community.
During the holy month of Ramadan, Qatar Charity completed the renovation, maintenance and furnishing of two homes sponsored by Qatar Power Engineering and Contracting Company and Vodafone, respectively, which have been handed over to their owners.
Qatar Charity also completed the maintenance of five houses in various parts of the country before the month of Ramadan, in partnerships with voluntary groups and companies as part of their responsibility towards the community.
Qatar Charity appreciated the role of voluntary youth groups that contributed to the success of the project. It also praised the efforts of the companies that cooperated in funding this project as part of their responsibility towards the community.
