Qatar Charity provides food baskets to workers in quarantine in Al-Shahaniya
Qatar Charity (QC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health and Ministry of Administrative Development Labour and Social Affairs, distributed 300 food baskets to workers in quarantine in Al-Shahaniya.
The distribution of the food baskets came as part of the continued efforts of Qatar Charity to curb the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and reduce infections.
Until May 16, 2020, Qatar Charity, as part of its awareness and preventive campaign to combat the coronavirus pandemic, has managed to distribute 58,000 food baskets across the country, and 483,000 ready-to- eat meals to workers. Some 60,000 health bags were distributed to workers for personal hygiene, in addition to 30 videos and 90,000 multi-lingual leaflets to educate people on the coronavirus.
The total beneficiaries of meals and food baskets are more than 541,093 persons, while the total beneficiaries of all aid reached 6 02,802 people.
Qatar Charity is also investing the efforts of more than 8000 male and female volunteers to provide health, social and educational services for the benefit of society in coordination with the various bodies.
