Qatar Charity supports student protection against COVID-19 in Sudan
Qatar Charity (QC) has provided sewing machines and fabrics to primary school students in the city of Kassala, eastern Sudan to produce masks, aiming at curbing the outbreak of the coronavirus (covid-19) pandemic in the country. The distribution of more than 2,040 masks has taken place in city, in cooperation with the Ministries of Education and Health.
The mask manufacture initiative, which has targeted students from 10 schools in Kassala, contributed to creating an atmosphere of comfort for them, especially while they were attending the exams.
Many partners, students, and their families praised the initiative. The female beneficiaries also thanked the benefactors in Qatar, as well as, Qatar Charity for providing them with sewing machines that began to generate incomes constantly for them.
It is worth mentioning that Qatar Charity supported Sudan's efforts to combat the spread of the coronavirus in June with 7-ton medical aid worth QR2mn, which included personal protection equipment (PPE) like suits, masks, shoes and headgears.
