Qatar Charity distributes aid to coronavirus-hit families

Qatar Charity (QC) has distributed food packages and gifts to expatriate families affected by the coronavirus pandemic, in cooperation with the Qatar Football Association (QFA) and CINI Solutions for Business and Trading.

Food aid, meat and gifts were distributed to 140 families of orphans and Low-income Families. The food aid included main food items, while gifts contained toys and sports clothes.

Mr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Emadi, Director of Programs and Community Development at Qatar Charity, expressed his appreciation for the contributions made by QFA and CINI Solutions, which made it easier for Qatar Charity to distribute the aid to the families affected by the pandemic. He hoped that other companies and entities would follow the example set by QFA and the CINI Solutions to support the projects and programs implemented by Qatar Charity in and outside the State of Qatar for the benefit of those in need.

Al-Emadi noted that Qatar Charity, in cooperation with various bodies from the public and private sectors, have made significant efforts to contribute to limiting the spread of the coronavirus. It has distributed food baskets, awareness-raising materials, hygiene items, and healthy meals to the beneficiaries, including workers and families with limited income, across the country.

Engineer Osama Suleiman, Project Management Officer at CINI Solutions thanked Qatar Charity for the generous gesture that allowed the company to contribute to humanitarian and charitable work as part of its societal responsibility.

Applauding Qatar Charity for its humanitarian role, Suleiman said that it is a pioneering humanitarian organization, not only in Qatar, but also worldwide, as it allows donors to contribute to the charitable work across the world as per their choice. He also noted that Qatar Charity carries out highly credible humanitarian work, thus working with it is a source of pride for the company, looking forward to continuing cooperation between the company and Qatar Charity.

Qatar Charity distributed food baskets last month to 1000 Syrian expatriate families and nearly 200 expatriate Yemeni families in Doha, in addition to distributing the food packages to 120 families from various communities in Al Khor.
