Qatar Charity organizes various activities in celebration of Sport Day

Qatar Charity (QC), represented by its Public Relations Department and Community Development Centers, celebrated Qatar National Sport Day by organizing various events in different areas of the country. Several segments of the community, including expatriates and workers, participated in the events, held in cooperation with Qatar Charity’s partners.

The events, which reflect Qatar Charity's commitment to promoting ethical, humanitarian, social, and health values, included physical activities, sports competitions, and exercises. The aim was to raise awareness about the importance of sports in daily life and encourage both its employees and community members to engage in sports throughout the year.

The Public Relations department of Qatar Charity organized a diverse event for its employees and their families in collaboration with Plus Fitness at the American Academy School in Thumama. The event included a wide range of activities such as badminton, football, basketball, and inflatable activities for children, as well as swimming, walking, and fitness exercises.

Mr. Jassim Mohd AlEmadi, Director of the Public Relations Department at Qatar Charity, expressed his delight in Qatar Charity's participation in National Sport Day events, emphasizing that Qatar Charity aims to promote a sports culture and a healthy lifestyle. He also highlighted Qatar Charity's continuous commitment to taking part in national events. He thanked Plus Fitness and the American Academy School for supporting this important event.

The events organized by the Qatar Charity Social Development Center - Communities at Abu Nakẖlah Labour Camp witnessed the participation of hundreds of workers from various communities. The activities included the 100-meter running race, penalty shootout, cricket stump through, tire football, and tug-of-war. Prizes were distributed after each game, adding more excitement to this sporting event.

In a related context, the Qatar Charity Center for Community Development in Al Khor organized several events in collaboration with Al Khor Sports Club and other partners. The activities included a workshop on healthy eating, a marathon at the club, physical exercises, and a sports competition. Prizes were distributed to the winners.

In the same context, the Qatar Charity Center for Community Development in Al Rayyan organized various sports activities for children, including physical exercises, football, tug-of-war, and more. Gifts were distributed to the children. Mothers enjoyed special sports activities in Al Rayyan Park, including warm-up exercises, fitness activities, walking, running, and ball-throwing.

Mr. Abdulrahman Mohammad Al-Hajri, Director of the Programs and Community Development Department at Qatar Charity, stated that these activities contributed to educating various segments of the community, including children, men, women, expatriates, and laborers, about daily physical exercises to maintain their health and fitness. He thanked everyone who supported or participated in these events.
