QC Distributes Eid Clothing as Gifts for 4,000 Orphans

With the support of Qatar's philanthropists, QC made use of Al Adha Eid to make 4,000 orphans from 21 countries happy. QC offered them clothes and gifts during huge celebrations that were full of joy. The celebrations were attended by local and diplomatic officials from the embassies of Qatar abroad.

QC is considered the biggest charity organization to sponsor orphans around the world. It sponsors more than 105,000 orphans through its initiative 'Rofaqaa'. It offers the orphans comprehensive care in the educational, social and health aspects of life.

Clothes and Toys

In a press release, Engineer Khalid Abdullah Al Yaf'i, Operations Director at QC's Executive Management of Operations, said, "Eid Clothing project targeted children under 12 years old from orphans sponsored by QC in 21 different countries around the world. The project focused on the countries that suffer from exceptional circumstances". He then explained how the children of the displaced and refugees were the most important category since it was important to fill their hearts with joy and happiness. "It is a time of love and family; we wanted to draw smiles on Syrians' orphans in Syria and other places. We also wanted to make the orphans ofIRaq, Yemen, Palestine and Somalia happy," he added. Mr. Al Yaf'i concluded his statement describing the items which were delivered to the orphans; he said that they included clothes, shoes, toys and sweets. "We thank God for everything the project has achieved and we are happy to see the trace of the good deeds of the philanthropists".

A number of local and diplomatic officials from the embassies of Qatar abroad commended the excellent results of the project reflected in the happy faces of the children. They expressed how grateful they were for QC because it allowed to them t share such amazing moments with the orphans.

Somalia Orphans

In a ceremony held in Mogadishu, the Chargé D'affaires of Qatar's embassy in Somalia Engineer Hassan bin Hamza participated in the distribution of Eid clothing to 100 male and female orphans sponsored by QC in Somalia.

Engineer Hassan expressed how thrilled he felt for participating in the ceremony. "I am so happy to be here with QC's office to draw smiles on little orphans faces. We thank all the philanthropists who helped make this project see light," he added.

In Burkina Faso, 180 orphans benefited from the project. The distribution took place in the presence of Ms. Ivent Dumbly, Director General of Social Solidarity at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Solidarity.

Ms. Dumbly commended on behalf of her government the great role of Qatar and QC in providing the needs of the orphans. "QC provides monthly payments to the sponsored. It has proven its efficiency and excellence," she added.

Pakistan Orphans

QC's office in Pakistan distributed Eid clothing to 245 male and female orphans in multiple regions and governorates during celebrations attended by the orphans' mothers. The ceremony included congratulating the children on the Eid under on behalf of the sponsors and philanthropists of Qatar.

Few days before Eid Al Adha began, QC's office in Niamey, Capital of Niger, distributed clothes and sweets to 85 orphans during a ceremony of nashids and entertainment. 

It is worth mentioning that QC also distributed Eid clothing to orphans and needy children at a cost of 500,000 QR. It held public awareness events such as "Pilgrimage" event in multiple malls such as Khor, Laqona, and Gulf Mall in the 10 days of Dhul Hijjah.

In cooperation with "Isna' Khayran" initiative, QC distributed Eid clothing to 200 children who participated in Qatar's Future Leaders program before the Eid so to make the beneficiaries happy.
