Qatar Charity concludes ‘Children’s Bazaar-2’

Qatar Charity Center for Community Development in Al Rayyan concluded the activities of ‘Children’s Bazaar-2’, which is a program to support children’s capabilities in community entrepreneurship. The bazaar was participated in by 115 male and female students, supported by several partners, and attended by prominent figures in the field of entrepreneurship.

The participating children prepared a commercial project for each group and sold their own products and surplus toys at the bazaar, aiming to support Qatar Charity’s ‘Al-Aqraboon' campaign with the proceeds.

Mr. Faisal Al- Fehaida, CEO’s Assistant for the Programs and Community Development Sector, visited the Children’s Bazaar and expressed his great admiration for the children's products. "This program came as a continuation of Qatar Charity's efforts to instill the values of humanitarian action and charitable work in children and support and develop their capabilities in community entrepreneurship,” said Al- Fehaida on the sidelines of the visit.

He thanked the partners for cooperating with Qatar Charity in transforming the love of doing good into passion, pleasure, and practical behavior.

The children’s participation in this event contributed to developing their theoretical knowledge and practical abilities in the areas of marketing, selling, entrepreneurship, and voluntary programs.

The list of the partners, who cooperated in the implementation of the bazaar, includes Bedaya, Qatar Society For Rehabilitation Of Special Needs, and First International Development for Consulting, in addition to many primary schools and personalities specialized in the field of entrepreneurship.

The children expressed their happiness with participating in the bazaar. “My aims, through the participation in the bazaar, is to help the poor,” said Nouf Abdullah Al-Karbi, a participating child. “I learned from this event the importance of helping the needy, and I encourage my classmates to participate in such activities in support of the underprivileged.” The child Nayef Ahmed Al-Hail said that he learned the love of goodness, responsibility, and self-confidence.

“The children's bazaar helps develops the capabilities of children and teaches them the value of giving and the importance of helping the needy, in addition to contributing to the development of the community,” said Mr. Anas Saber Saleh, the father of the child, Jad Anas who participated in the bazaar. Saleh also thanked Qatar Charity for organizing such a wonderful event, expressing his hope for its continuity in the future.

“I was keen to get my son involved in the bazaar, which encourages children to experience the world of entrepreneurship and develops their skills through workshops,” said Fatima Al-Muraikhi, the mother of the child Nayef Al-Hail. “I thanked Qatar Charity for holding the bazaar, especially integrating and training students with special needs with our children through this wonderful program.”
