Qatar Charity organizes a “Humanitarian Leadership” workshop for those interested in volunteer work.

The Initiatives and Volunteering Incubator “Izdihar” of Qatar Charity, in cooperation with the Franklin Covey Education in the Middle East, hosted an interactive workshop entitled “Humanitarian Leadership” with the aim of enhancing a deeper understanding of volunteer work and developing effective strategies to achieve a positive impact on society.

The workshop was presented at the headquarters of Qatar Charity by Mrs. Hoda Al-Khawaja, a specialized trainer in the field of leadership, public administration and strategic planning, and a senior advisor to the Franklin Covey for Education Middle East, where it witnessed the presence of leaders of volunteer work at Qatar Charity and a group of the most distinguished and effective volunteers.

, representatives from the Qatar Red Crescent, Tomoh for Community Development, and the Tam volunteer Network and many representatives of community initiatives supported by “Izdihar”, the initiative and volunteer incubator, in addition to a group of the most distinguished and effective volunteers.

During the workshop, trainer Hoda Al-Khawaja shed light on several topics related to humanitarian work and volunteering, touching on the challenges and problems facing volunteer work leaders and volunteers, and effective ways to solve these challenges.

 She also discussed volunteer work from the perspective of the seven habits of the most effective people and linked them to volunteer and community work.

 This provides a practical framework to enhance effectiveness in humanitarian initiatives.

On the sidelines of the workshop, the trainer praised Qatar Charity’s efforts in building and developing the skills of volunteers and leaders in humanitarian and volunteer work, noting that the successes achieved by Qatar Charity reflect the presence of its extraordinary leaders.

Mrs. Fatima Al-Muhannadi, Head of the Initiatives and Volunteering Department at Qatar Charity, said: “We believe that building the capabilities of volunteers and developing the skills of volunteer work leaders is an essential axis in achieving success and positive impact in our society. By empowering volunteers and developing their skills, we can build cadres capable of contributing effectively to Sustainable development and leadership of community and volunteer projects, and based on this perspective, our partnership in presenting this discussion session came in cooperation with the Franklin Covey for Education Middle East in Humanitarian Leadership.”

She added, "By strengthening cooperation and coordination between the government, private and civil society sectors, we can strengthen joint efforts to achieve our humanitarian and social goals in a more effective manner," extending her thanks to the Franklin Covey Education Middle East for cooperating in presenting the workshop.

 

 She also thanked the volunteer participants in the workshop.

In turn, the participants expressed their happiness for attending this important workshop, as Mr. Hussein Aman Al-Ali from the Qatar Red Crescent described it as “very wonderful,” adding, “What I learned today is considered a valuable addition to my knowledge.”
