In a notable humanitarian initiative aimed at strengthening the resilience of Lebanese youth in the face of economic and social challenges, Qatar Charity supported by a Qatari benefactor has implemented the first phase of the "Support Education in Lebanon" project. This initiative focuses on empowering students to continue their university education by offering direct financial assistance and providing essential needs for educational staff.

The initiative covered tuition fees for more than 300 male and female students at Lebanese universities, particularly at the Islamic University of Beirut, the University of Tripoli, and Jinan University.
The project was carried out in coordination with the administrations of the targeted universities and local institutions to ensure the aid reached its beneficiaries with high transparency and organization.

The initiative did not stop at students; shopping vouchers were also distributed to several teachers and educators in Lebanese schools, in recognition of their educational role and to support them amid the difficult living conditions the country is facing.

A representative of Qatar Charity in Lebanon stated: "This initiative reaffirms Qatar Charity's unwavering commitment to supporting education as a fundamental human right and a key path to achieving sustainable development in crisis-affected communities." He added, "The generous support from Qatari philanthropists reflects the spirit of solidarity and humanitarian cooperation and strengthens the bonds of goodwill between the Qatari and Lebanese peoples."

The initiative was met with widespread positive reception in academic circles. Dr. Ali Al-Tawil, Dean of the Islamic University of Beirut, expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for this generous gesture, emphasizing that it came at a critical time when students and their families are under immense economic pressure that threatens their academic future.

Similarly, Dr. Salem Yakan, Dean of Jinan University, stated, "These projects represent a beacon of hope for ambitious Lebanese youth and contribute to creating a more stable educational environment amidst the country's ongoing crises."

Dr. Rafat Al-Mikati, President of the University of Tripoli, also extended his thanks to the State of Qatar and Qatar Charity, expressing his hope for the continuation of such support until Lebanon overcomes its current crisis.

It is worth noting that Qatar Charity has been one of the leading humanitarian organizations operating in Lebanon for years, having implemented numerous projects in the fields of health, relief, water, and education. It continues its efforts to serve the most vulnerable groups in Lebanese society, in line with a strategic vision focused on human development and capacity building.
