Awareness Film Competition

A community competition to produce awareness videos on financial and consumer behavior. The competition aims to promote a culture of savings, reduce waste, and guide society toward smart and sustainable financial management, contributing to the development of more financially aware and stable individuals.

Goals

  1. Deepening public awareness of the importance of personal and family financial planning.
  2. Contribute to reducing negative behaviors associated with excessive consumption and poor money management.
  3. Strengthening community partnerships with government and private entities and individuals.

Target category

  • Community initiatives, content creators.

Entry Requirements

  • The participant must be residing in Qatar.
  • The participant must register to enter the competition.
  • The video must focus on divorce and its harms, especially during the first year of marriage.
  • The film duration must be between 3 to 5 minutes.
  • The video must be filmed with high quality and resolution.
  • The film must not have participated in any previous competition, screening, or media platform.
  • The winning film will become the property of Qatar Charity, which has the right to use it in any way and on any platform or website.
  • Participation is open to individuals, community initiatives, and content creators.
  • Each participant is allowed to submit only one entry.
  • Participants must adhere to Qatari customs and traditions in their filming.
  • It is prohibited to offend Islamic values or express political opinions.
  • Participants must comply with proper dress code and Islamic hijab during filming.
  • The judging panel has the right to disqualify any entry that violates the standards.
  • The decisions of the judging panel are final and not subject to appeal.
  • The deadline for submission is January 30, 2025.

Arbitration mechanism

After the Qatar Charity website receives the participating films, the competition management refers them to a jury composed of filmmaking experts. The jury selects the ten best short films, which are then displayed to the public on Qatar Charity's YouTube account, where the public votes using the thumbs-up button for the best film. The public contributes 25 percent of the final score, while the remaining 75 percent is calculated based on the jury's evaluation.
