With the support of generous donors in Qatar, Qatar Charity has inaugurated a modern educational complex at Darul-Ulum Primary School in Kanvili Kpawmo, located within the Sagnarigu Municipality of Ghana’s Northern Region. The project forms part of Qatar Charity’s ongoing efforts to support the education sector and empower children to access quality education in a safe and stimulating learning environment.

The project comprises a new educational facility featuring six fully equipped classrooms, a library, an administrative office, and modern sanitation facilities. The complex has also been designed with accessible pathways to facilitate movement for people with disabilities, reinforcing the principles of inclusive education for all.

Mr. Hassan Awda, Director of Qatar Charity’s Office in Ghana, emphasized that the project aligns with the organization’s strategy of investing in education and developing human capital in underserved communities.

He stated that the new facility will provide children with the opportunity to receive quality education in a safe and dignified environment, noting that Qatar Charity remains committed to implementing sustainable development projects that improve the lives of local communities and create favorable conditions for raising generations capable of contributing to the development of their countries.

Mr. Awda added that supporting education remains one of Qatar Charity’s core priorities, based on its belief that education is a key driver of sustainable development, poverty reduction, and the creation of better futures for children and young people.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several local officials, including Mr. Alhassan Suhuyini, Member of Parliament for Tamale North and Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways of Ghana, who commended the efforts of Qatar Charity and its donors in making the project possible.

Mr. Suhuyini expressed his appreciation for Qatar Charity’s humanitarian contributions in Ghana, affirming that such initiatives leave a lasting and sustainable impact on the lives of children and beneficiary families.

He noted that the new facility will provide a conducive learning environment for both teachers and students, contributing to improved educational quality and enhanced academic performance in the area.

For his part, Mr. Salifu Abdul Razak, Director of Education for the Sagnarigu Municipality, praised the project, stressing that it will help address the shortage of educational infrastructure and improve teaching and learning conditions at the school.

The project is expected to enhance access to education, improve sanitation services within the school, and provide a safer and more inclusive learning environment for students and staff, following years of challenges related to inadequate educational facilities and overcrowded classrooms.

This initiative is part of a series of educational and development projects implemented by Qatar Charity in Ghana, aimed at supporting vulnerable communities and promoting sustainable development across various vital sectors.
