With the support of Qatar’s generous donors, Qatar Charity (QC) completed 58 development and relief projects in Côte d’Ivoire during the first eight months of 2026, benefiting around 63,000 people.
The projects covered water and sanitation, healthcare, education, economic empowerment and emergency relief. They aimed to improve living conditions, expand access to essential services, support families’ livelihoods, and assist communities affected by disasters.
In water and sanitation, Qatar Charity implemented 16 projects, including 12 shallow wells and 4 deep artesian wells, benefiting around 27,500 people. These projects provide communities with clean and safe water while improving health and environmental conditions.
In healthcare, Qatar Charity carried out 1 project to provide health centers with medical equipment. It also supplied people with disabilities with manual and electric wheelchairs and prescription glasses. Around 4,019 people benefited from these services, which have improved access to healthcare and supported the inclusion of people with disabilities.
In education and culture, Qatar Charity built 11 mosques and 3 Qur’an memorization centers, benefiting around 2,000 people. The facilities provide suitable spaces for education, religious awareness, and Qur’an learning while serving local communities.
To support economic empowerment, Qatar Charity implemented 2 projects providing water coolers, 19 projects supplying plumbing tools and equipment, and 1 project providing sewing machines. These initiatives benefited 151 people and helped individuals and families establish or develop income-generating activities.
Qatar Charity also implemented 1 relief project that distributed food baskets to around 19,000 people, helping vulnerable families meet their basic food needs and reduce their living expenses.
Following these achievements, Qatar Charity’s Côte d’Ivoire branch will continue implementing further projects during the remaining months of 2026. Supported by donors, these efforts aim to expand access to essential services, strengthen sustainable development and help vulnerable communities build safer and more stable futures.
