As part of its ongoing Ramadan campaign ‘Endless Giving’, Qatar Charity (QC) continues to organize Iftar events for fasting individuals from various communities residing in Qatar, including the Pakistani community. It is expected that 21,000 people will benefit from these Iftar events during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Iftar gatherings, arranged for members of Arab, Asian, and African communities, seek to foster values of solidarity and collaboration among individuals from diverse communities, while enhancing interaction between them. These gatherings incorporate religious programs and sermons.
Iftar Event for Pakistani Community
In this context, Qatar Charity (QC) organized an Iftar event for members of the Pakistani community residing in Qatar. Around 700 fasting individuals from the community participated in the event, which was held under the supervision of Qatar Charity's Social Development Centre - Communities.
The Iftar event included a sermon delivered by Mr. Mubashir Nadeem the Secretary-General of the Pakistan Welfare Forum (PWF). He spoke about the virtues of Ramadan, emphasizing the importance of fasting, night prayers, good deeds, charity, and social service. He encouraged the participants to contribute to the forum's campaign through Qatar Charity for the benefit of the Pakistani community. Additionally, he provided an overview of Qatar Charity, highlighting the forum's services in education, medical assistance, and family social care, in collaboration with Qatar Charity.
Participants expressed their happiness at being part of this event that brings joy to their community members. Mr. Abdul Moqtader, a member of the Pakistani community, extended his sincere gratitude to the generous people of Qatar and Qatar Charity for organizing a group Iftar event for their community. He emphasized that this initiative symbolizes a unique moment and an excellent opportunity for them to gather during the sacred month of Ramadan, thereby strengthening social cohesion among community members. He also expressed his eagerness to participate in Qatar Charity's activities and events in the future.
It is worth mentioning that the number of beneficiaries from Qatar Charity's Ramadan Campaign ‘Endless Giving’ within the state of Qatar reaches up to 900,000 people. The campaign’s projects include Feed the Fasting, Zakat al-Fitr, Eid Gifts for Orphans and Children of Low-Income Families, in addition to the assistance through the 'Alaqraboon' platform and cultural, social, and volunteer programs and events.
