In a humanitarian initiative aimed at enhancing social solidarity and empowering vulnerable communities to live with dignity, Qatar Charity has successfully granted home ownership to 13 needy families in Morocco. With generous support from donors, this initiative provides permanent housing, offering families stability and a fresh start. Qatar Charity aims to extend this effort by securing housing for an additional 20 families throughout 2025.
Targeted Support Based on Clear Criteria
Beneficiary families were selected through a rigorous assessment process that prioritized families in critical need, particularly orphan households already under Qatar Charity's sponsorship. Apartments were allocated based on each family's current place of residence to preserve social ties and ensure seamless community integration. This initiative aligns with Qatar Charity’s commitment to sustainable development and social welfare.
A Sense of Security and Dignity
Recipients have described the moment of receiving their new homes as changing life. One beneficiary, Mrs. Samira, shared:
"When I heard that my family had received a new apartment, I couldn’t believe it. I had been living under difficult conditions, paying rent I could barely afford. But the moment I held the key and stepped into the apartment; it felt like life smiled at me again. It’s clean, safe, and close to schools. For the first time in years, I feel secure and stable. This support changed my life and reminded me that we are not forgotten."
A New Beginning for Families in Need
Another beneficiary, Mrs. Kawthar, was moved to tears upon receiving the keys to her new home. She recalled:
"Life had become unbearable. I was moving between relatives’ homes with my children, with no hope of stability. Then I received the news that I was granted a free apartment. I was overwhelmed with gratitude and emotion. This apartment gives us safety, dignity, and a chance to start over. Every morning, I wake up thanking God and praying for those who made this possible."
Expanding the Impact in 2025
In addition to the 20 new housing units planned for this year, Qatar Charity will also furnish homes for 20 additional underprivileged families in Morocco, extending its reach and reinforcing its mission to uplift the most vulnerable through sustainable, impactful interventions.
