In a strategic move to support sustainable development in Chad, Qatar Charity has implemented 260 economic empowerment projects, including the distribution of 130 three-wheeled motorcycles and 130 auto rickshaws. The initiative, generously funded by philanthropists in Qatar, aims to reduce youth unemployment, improve mobility for vulnerable communities, and enhance environmental services in underserved areas.

In Abéché, 100 unemployed youth received the tricycles, while 130 rickshaws were distributed to help others enter the workforce and generate sustainable income. In N'Djamena, 30 tricycles were handed over to the municipality to support waste collection and improve public hygiene.

The initiative received commendation from Chadian authorities for its tangible contribution to local development. Officials emphasized Qatar Charity’s effective role in empowering youth and creating sustainable employment opportunities through the distribution of motorcycles and rickshaws. They also highlighted the project’s environmental benefits, noting its support for cleaner neighborhoods and reduced pollution—fully aligned with the goals of sustainable urban development.
