On the sidelines of the Doha Forum 2025, Qatar Charity (QC) has signed several agreements and memorandums of understanding with leading international and UN organizations, reaffirming its commitment to expanding humanitarian action and strengthening global crisis response.
These partnerships focus on critical areas such as supporting refugees, improving healthcare services, enhancing food security, delivering life-saving assistance, and building resilience, with projects set to be implemented in Gaza, Jordan, Chad, Djibouti, Tanzania, Somalia, Syria, Senegal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and The Gambia.
The agreements were signed with prominent entities including the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the World Health Organization (WHO), International Medical Corps (IMC), and We World, alongside several strategic agreements with the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD).
The agreement with UNHCR aims to support crisis-affected populations in Chad, Djibouti, and Tanzania by providing essential non-food items, helping improve living conditions and alleviate hardships amid growing humanitarian challenges.
Qatar Charity signed multiple agreements to strengthen healthcare in Gaza. The partnership with IMC focuses on expanding access to high-quality primary and secondary healthcare through physiotherapy services, essential medicines, and the establishment of operating rooms, pediatric clinics, and a pharmacy.
The agreement with Mercy Malaysia will enhance child health services, including vaccinations for children under five, provision of medical supplies and equipment, and distribution of fortified foods and supplements.
The agreement between Qatar Charity and We World aims to strengthen humanitarian collaboration and explore new avenues for partnership through joint programs in Afghanistan, focusing on promoting sustainable development and improving livelihoods in communities affected by conflict.
Qatar Charity signed an agreement with WHO, to enhance access to health services for women and children in Syria. This initiative addresses severe gaps in maternal and child healthcare caused by years of conflict and displacement, through hospital support, capacity building for health workers, and expansion of mental health services.
Qatar Charity is set to finalize an agreement with ICRC to assist vulnerable families in Jordan through cash grants for small-scale economic and multi-purpose initiatives. Furthermore, expected agreements with the Qatar Fund for Development will launch major humanitarian and development projects in Somalia, Syria, Senegal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and The Gambia, focusing on food security, water access, climate resilience, and healthcare services.
