Continuing its ongoing support for the health sector in Sudan, Qatar Charity's medical teams implemented a new project in Al-Qadarif State to provide health services to those affected by the crisis in the east of the country. The project included mobile clinics offering free medical examinations, tests, and treatment.

Medical services for displaced people

Dr. Hamad Al-Jazouli, the Governor's Advisor for Displaced Persons and Refugees in Al-Qadarif State, stated during his visit to the project site in Al-Tariya village, about 20 kilometers from Al-Qadarif city, that the two-month mobile clinic project provided invaluable services to the area's residents and displaced persons in the nearby camp.

He praised Qatar Charity's role in providing invaluable services in the displaced persons camps and various villages across the state and called for continued cooperation and joint coordination to deliver health and humanitarian services to the people of Al-Qadarif State and to the displaced, until their dignified return to their homes.

Provision of Healthcare Services

Musa Mohammed Musa, the organizations official in Al-Qallabat Al-Gharbiyah locality, explained that the health services provided through the mobile clinics project covered several villages in the Al-Houri sector, and were of great benefit to the people of the area who needed medical services. He added, "We thank Qatar Charity and the donors for implementing this project.

Providing Treatment for Needy Families

Nusayba Abdul Rahman, from the Al-Tariyah Donki camp, said they were in dire need of the mobile clinic because the area lacks medical services and has no health unit, amidst the spread of dengue fever, malaria, and diarrhea.

Maryam Ramadan, a displaced person in the same camp, added that there are patients who cannot afford to seek treatment due to difficult economic circumstances, and she expressed her gratitude to Qatar Charity for providing them with free treatment.

Furthermore, the project to provide health services to those affected by the crisis in Sudan has contributed to improving access to health services, providing screening and treatment for chronic diseases, and raising health awareness among approximately 1,760 beneficiaries in the region.
