With the generous support of benefactors in Qatar, Qatar Charity (QC) implemented around 1,773 projects across Pakistan in 2025, including Pakistan-administered Jammu & Kashmir, benefiting nearly 1,554,957 people. These projects covered various sectors such as water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), education, health, nutrition, food security and livelihoods, social housing, economic empowerment, as well as seasonal projects, and social care (sponsorships).
Seasonal Projects
Qatar Charity carried out 4 seasonal projects benefiting 48,580 people, which included distributing sacrificial meat to 17,430 individuals in Peshawar (KP) and in Punjab, Sindh, and Kashmir, along with dry food packages for 27,650 people and Eid gifts for 3,500 individuals in Muzaffarabad.
Qatar Charity implemented 4 seasonal projects to reach 48,580 individuals by distributing meat during Eid Ul Azha to 17,430 people in district Peshawar-KP, and Punjab, KP, Sindh & Azad Jammu and Kashmir, distributing dry food packages to 27,650 (individuals) and gifts for orphans 3,500 (individuals) for Eid in Muzaffarabad.
Water and Economic Empowerment
Qatar Charity implemented 986 WASH projects, benefiting 243,857 people in Punjab, Sindh, KP, and Kashmir. These projects included drilling boreholes, installing solar-powered pumps, and constructing sanitation facilities and handwashing stations to provide safe water and reduce disease in vulnerable areas.
Additionally, Qatar Charity implemented 361 income-generating projects benefiting 3,325 individuals, helping establish small businesses such as welding, carpentry, tailoring, beauty salons, bakeries, and grocery shops, and providing resources like sewing machines, rickshaws, and livestock (goats, poultry, and cows).
Education and Health
In the education sector, Qatar Charity implemented 24 projects in Punjab, Sindh, and KP, providing school supplies to nearly 1,750 children to support their learning and improve the educational environment.
In health, Qatar Charity carried out 4 projects in Punjab, benefiting 6,085 people, which included providing medical equipment and treatment support for conditions such as cataracts.
Sponsorships
Through its “Rofaqa” initiative, Qatar Charity supported more than 11,986 vulnerable individuals, including 10,996 orphans, 360 needy families, 292 people with special needs, and 338 university students in KP and Kashmir. It also implemented 196 wedding support projects for orphaned girls.
Development Projects
Qatar Charity executed 181 development projects benefiting 16,702 people in Sindh, KP, and Punjab. These included building 45 mosques serving 15,750 worshippers and constructing 136 houses for vulnerable families, benefiting 952 individuals, to strengthen community infrastructure and promote safer, more sustainable communities.
Partnership Projects
In collaboration with UNICEF and the World Food Programme, Qatar Charity implemented 4 projects benefiting 1,150,500 people in Punjab and Balochistan. These projects focused on improving water and sanitation services for Afghan refugees, child nutrition, and access to health services, particularly for pregnant and lactating women and malnourished children.
Qatar Charity also signed an agreement with Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan (AKFP), in partnership with the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), to provide essential health services through mobile clinics across 12 divisions, including AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan. The project aims to reach one million beneficiaries, delivering healthcare directly to their doorsteps.
