1/22/2026

During 2025, Qatar Charity implemented hundreds of developments, relief, and social projects in the Republic of Albania, with a total value exceeding 38 million Qatari Riyals. These projects benefited more than 100,000 people from the most vulnerable groups. This reflects the organization’s commitment to supporting sustainable development and promoting social solidarity.

These projects included building mosques, constructing housing for the needy, income-generating projects, drilling water wells, education and training, social, educational, and values-based programs, and seasonal projects, with a focus on improving the quality of life and developing local communities in the long term.

Social Care

In the area of social care, Qatar Charity sponsored 5,658 individuals in Albania during the year, including orphans, students, people with disabilities, and impoverished families. These beneficiaries received regular monthly financial assistance, in addition to meeting their seasonal needs.

Qatar Charity also fulfilled over 9,000 seasonal needs, including paying the electricity bills for more than 1,600 sponsored individuals for a full year, distributing comprehensive food baskets sufficient for a sponsored family for three months, and providing winter and school clothing.

The care extended beyond financial support to include specialized training and human development programs, as well as organizing a weekly forum for orphans focused on their educational and cultural development and building their positive character.

Education, Training, and Capacity Building

In education, Qatar Charity continues to operate Al Fajr Model School, delivering high‑quality learning in a values‑based environment and serving students from kindergarten through secondary.

The school has achieved remarkable accomplishments, ranking seventh out of 35 private schools in the Albanian Ministry of Education's evaluation this year. It has 396 students and achieved a 100% success rate in the 2024-2025 academic year, with an average score of 91.5%. This year, the school also celebrated its 15th anniversary, honoring outstanding students and graduates who have secured prestigious positions within the country.

Similarly, the Albanian Qatari Training Center continued its role in empowering various segments of society, particularly students, sponsored orphans, and recent graduates. This year, over 300 students graduated from the center in diverse fields, most notably foreign languages, computer skills, accounting, and management training.

Religious and Developmental Projects

This year, Qatar Charity inaugurated Al-Iman Mosque, with a total area of 750 square meters. It is the only mosque in the city of Ljubljana, serving approximately 20,000 people, and was made possible through a generous contribution from a Qatari family.

Emergency Relief

In the field of emergency relief, Qatar Charity was present during crises, particularly in forest fire zones and nearby villages. Eight relief projects were implemented, providing clothing and food supplies, benefiting more than 40,000 people.

Economic Empowerment, Water, and Sanitation

As part of its economic empowerment efforts, Qatar Charity implemented several income-generating projects targeting orphans and families. These projects included providing agricultural equipment, greenhouses, distributing sheep and goats, and establishing bee farms, with a special focus on the municipality of Tirana to maximize the developmental impact on the region.

In the area of water and sanitation, Qatar Charity drilled 175 water wells to provide usable water for government institutions and impoverished families, especially the families of orphans, thus contributing to improved health and living conditions.

Strategic Partnerships

In 2025, several agreements and strategic partnerships were signed with official entities in Albania. These partnerships aimed to ensure quality implementation, accurate beneficiary selection, and the highest levels of transparency, in addition to co-financing projects. These efforts come within the framework of Qatar Charity's humanitarian and development mission, which aims to create a sustainable impact and improve the lives of the neediest communities around the world.
