1/26/2026

Qatar Charity has implemented a new package of essential humanitarian assistance for displaced people who arrived in the Al-Fasher area, in a series of relief, shelter, health, and food interventions carried out at the “Qatar Charity” camp for the displaced.

The Emergency and Crisis Committee in the Northern State revealed that Qatar Charity provided 1,640 tents as a first phase, along with 3,412 food baskets, 3,700 personal hygiene kits, 4,220 blankets, 3,950 ground mats, 6,600 mosquito nets, and 2,080 kitchen kits.

Rami Abdulrahim, Head of the Emergency and Crisis Committee in Al-Daba locality, expressed his appreciation for Qatar Charity’s continued support, describing it as a source of pride. He said:

“They have always stood by us with initiatives that have made a significant impact on the displaced from Al-Fasher, Keren, and Darfur Al-Kubra.”

He added: “They are always proactive and at the forefront of charitable work, providing food and relief assistance to their brothers and sisters in Sudan.”

Provision of Kitchen Utensils

The assistance provided by Qatar Charity included a comprehensive set of essential kitchen utensils. One of the beneficiaries noted that Qatar Charity did not limit its efforts to distributing food baskets alone but also provided the necessary tools for preparing meals. Each displaced family received a complete set of kitchen utensils, ensuring they had sufficient equipment after fleeing and leaving everything behind.

Hassnaa Abdelkhair Saeed, a displaced woman from North Darfur, expressed her gratitude for the support provided by Qatar Charity, which included relief supplies and kitchen utensils for displaced and affected families. She explained that upon arriving at the camp, Qatar Charity was the first organization to provide support. In addition to food assistance, families received blankets to help them cope with the severe cold wave, as well as mosquito nets to prevent the spread of diseases.

It is worth noting that Qatar Charity initiated the establishment of the “Qatar Charity” camp in Al-Daba locality to accommodate displaced people. The organization has delivered a wide range of food, health, and shelter interventions, in addition to providing essential necessities that enable displaced families to live with dignity.
