Despite the exceptional circumstances, and with the generous support of donors in Qatar, Qatar Charity (QC) brought joy to children in several countries worldwide through its Eid Clothing Project.
The project is part of Qatar Charity’s Ramadan campaign ‘Good Starts With You’ and aims to strengthen social solidarity and ensure that the joy of Eid reaches those who need it most, providing new Eid outfits to orphans and vulnerable children in many countries.
Sudan
In Sudan, Qatar Charity implemented the Eid Clothing Project for sponsored orphans, low-income families, and vulnerable groups in the Red Sea and River Nile states. In a festive atmosphere, Qatar Charity distributed Eid clothing to 600 sponsored orphans in Port Sudan.
Yemen
In Yemen, Qatar Charity provided Eid clothing to 250 sponsored orphans and persons with disabilities in Taiz. Families attended the event, and the children’s smiles showed the joy the initiative brought as they received their new Eid outfits.
Somalia
In Somalia, Qatar Charity organized an Eid clothing distribution for 930 orphaned children across various districts of the Banadir region, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote social solidarity and support vulnerable groups throughout the country.
Morocco
In Morocco, Qatar Charity’s office brought joy to 250 sponsored orphans in Tetouan. Beneficiaries received shopping vouchers that allowed them to choose their own Eid outfits, creating a warm and dignified environment filled with care and delight.
Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, Qatar Charity distributed shopping vouchers to 250 sponsored children, enabling them to visit stores with their families and select their own Eid clothes.
Pakistan
In Pakistan, Qatar Charity provided Eid clothing to 300 sponsored orphans, who expressed great happiness as they selected their garments themselves, enjoying the festive spirit of the experience.
Sri Lanka
In Sri Lanka’s Ampara district, Qatar Charity spread joy among 225 sponsored orphans through the Eid Clothing Project. The initiative offered a direct shopping experience that allowed children to pick their own Eid outfits, adding a humane and meaningful dimension that enhanced their sense of dignity, belonging, and celebration.
