Qatar Charity’s Alaqraboon Center Launches Dhul‑Hijjah Campaign for local beneficiaries

5/11/2026

The Alaqraboon Center of Qatar Charity (QC) has launched its Dhul-Hijjah campaign for the 1447 AH–2026 season under the slogan "The Most Blessed Days". The campaign is part of the organization’s seasonal programs aimed at strengthening values of compassion and social solidarity and expanding community support during the blessed days. With the support of generous donors, the campaign is expected to benefit 24,200 individuals across Qatar.

Smart Vouchers

The campaign includes a diverse package of initiatives designed to meet the needs of beneficiary families and priority groups within the State of Qatar. During Eid Al‑Adha, the Alaqraboon Center focuses on supporting low‑income families, widows and divorced women, families of prisoners, and persons with disabilities through the Udhiyah Project.

This year, the project is implemented through an enhanced mechanism based on smart vouchers available via the Alaqraboon mobile application, which streamlines collection procedures, ensures fair and dignified access, and safeguards beneficiaries’ privacy. The project targets approximately 20,000 beneficiaries.

Eid Joy

On the child support front, the campaign implements the Eidi (Eid Gift) Project for orphans and children from low‑income families, enabling them to meet their needs ahead of Eid. In addition, Alaqraboon Center organizes the “Eid Joy Festival,” aimed at spreading happiness among orphans and reinforcing their sense of social inclusion during this blessed occasion.

Humanitarian Cases

The campaign also allocates a track for urgent humanitarian cases, targeting 2,500 beneficiaries. It covers vital areas such as health (treatment and medicine), education, support for debt-burdened individuals, the elderly, and widows. This initiative aims to alleviate the burdens on families in need and fulfill the requirements of sponsored individuals, maximizing the humanitarian impact during these blessed days.

Mr. Faisal Rashid AlFehaida, Executive Director of Alaqraboon Center, said, “The days of Dhu Al‑Hijjah embody the values of compassion and solidarity inherent in Qatari society, and we affirm that charitable work is a continuous responsibility throughout the year. This campaign builds on our ongoing efforts to serve the community inside Qatar, reach those most in need, and bring happiness to their hearts.”

He explained that the campaign aims to raise QAR 30 million to reach 24,200 beneficiaries within Qatar, noting that these efforts are a direct result of community trust and donor generosity. He called on the people of Qatar to support the campaign, helping to spread joy, alleviate suffering, and ensure aid reaches those who deserve it most.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. AlFehaida emphasized the importance of seizing these seasons of goodness to strengthen community bonds within Qatar. He expressed his sincere hope that the campaign would create a meaningful difference and leave a positive, lasting impact on the lives of beneficiaries during these blessed days.
