Qatar Charity (QC) has successfully concluded its Quran Literacy Project in Bangladesh, celebrating the completion of Quranic education by 57 sponsored children from the Markaz Muhammad bin Ajaj Al-Kubaisi Center and the Sakhaa Center
The closing ceremony was held at the Markaz Muhammad bin Ajaj Al-Kubaisi Center, bringing together students, teachers, staff, and representatives of Qatar Charity for a day-long celebration of learning and achievement. The program marked an important milestone for the children, who completed a Quranic education course designed to enhance their ability to read, recite, memorize, and understand the Holy Quran.
The closing event featured a range of educational, religious, and cultural activities. Students demonstrated their learning through Quran recitations and Naat performances, while a lively question-and-answer session provided an opportunity for them to showcase their knowledge and understanding of the lessons covered during the course.
The achievements of all 57 students were recognized during the ceremony. Each student received a prize in appreciation of their successful completion of the Quranic education program. Among them, two students—Ratul Islam and Rita Akhter—received special awards as the Best Students in recognition of their outstanding performance and commitment throughout the course.
Ratul Islam expressed his gratitude to Qatar Charity and his teachers for their support and guidance.
“I am very happy to have successfully completed this one-year Quranic education program. I am grateful to our teachers and Qatar Charity for their guidance and support. Receiving the Best Student award is a great encouragement for me.”
Sabreen AlQaisi, Child Protection Specialist at the Bangladesh Office and Project Supervisor, praised the students’ dedication and achievements, stating:
“Over the past year, all the students worked hard and made remarkable progress in Quranic education. We are proud of their achievements and grateful to Qatar Charity for supporting this important initiative.”
She emphasized that creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment played a key role in helping the students develop their skills, strengthen their confidence, and excel in their learning journey.
The closing ceremony also reflected the wider objectives of QC’s Al-Furqan Quranic Literacy Program, which seeks to promote Quranic education alongside the moral, psychological, and social development of children, particularly those from marginalized and vulnerable communities
Following the formal closing ceremony, the students participated in a variety of sports activities organized at the center. The children enthusiastically took part in the games, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere. The day concluded with the students enjoying the activities together, celebrating both their achievements and the friendships they had developed throughout the program.
