As part of its ongoing efforts to support orphans and help them continue their education, Qatar Charity (QC), through its Rwanda Branch, distributed school supplies to orphans to help them prepare for the new academic year. The initiative coincides with Qatar Charity’s Education Campaign 2026 and aims to provide students with the essential learning supplies they need to return to school with confidence.
A total of 64 school kits were distributed, each containing essential educational supplies for the academic year. The support is intended to ease the financial burden on families and encourage students to attend school regularly and continue their education in a more supportive and stable environment.
“Rofaqa” Initiative
The project was implemented as part of Qatar Charity’s “Rofaqa” initiative, which provides comprehensive care and support for orphans and other sponsored individuals worldwide.
Under this initiative, Qatar Charity currently sponsors around 226,000 orphans and other sponsored individuals. Its support goes beyond monthly financial assistance to include educational, health, social, psychological and development support aimed at helping orphans build their capabilities, become more self-reliant and pursue their aspirations.
Education is a key component of Qatar Charity’s comprehensive care for orphans. By helping children access and continue their education, Qatar Charity seeks to improve their future opportunities and equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to their communities and lead more stable and dignified lives.
Supporting the Campaign
The initiative supports Qatar Charity’s Education Campaign 2026, which aims to reach around 123,000 globally. Qatar Charity called on donors to support the campaign and help more children continue their education.
