Orphaned children are among the most at-risk members of society.
The loss of one or both parents often deprives them of the care, protection, and financial stability essential for healthy development.
Without this support, they may struggle to meet their basic needs, face barriers to education and healthcare, and become more vulnerable to exploitation, child labor, or neglect. Many also endure social stigma and emotional trauma, which can lead to long-term psychological challenges.

How Sponsorship Makes a Difference
An Integrated Community
Approach
Qatar Charity invests in broader community projects that create lasting impact.
By combining direct sponsorship with community development, Qatar Charity ensures that orphaned children not only receive immediate care but also benefit from stronger, more resilient communities that nurture their long-term well-being.
Qatar Charity-Sponsored Children Join the Street Child World Cup 2022
Twenty children sponsored by Qatar Charity in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sudan traveled to Doha to take part in the 2022 Street Child World Cup (SCWC), joining teams from 25 countries. Organized by Street Child United, the event provides vulnerable youth with a platform to share their experiences and advocate for their rights.
Over eight days, participants competed in a global football tournament and engaged in congress sessions focused on the challenges faced by street-connected children, including poverty, limited access to education and healthcare, and the need for greater protection and equality. The event concluded with the release of the Qatar Commitment Document—a declaration of demands drafted by the young participants calling for action on critical issues such as gender equality, child protection, and the elimination of discrimination.
