As part of its Ramadan campaign ‘Endless Giving’, Qatar Charity (QC) distributed ‘Ramadan Supply’, in cooperation with the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for the second consecutive year.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education provided an opportunity for both government and private schools to participate in this initiative in collaboration with Qatar Charity. So far, 95 elementary, preparatory, and secondary schools for boys and girls have taken part in the initiative.

The initiative aims to promote the values of social solidarity and assist low-income families during Ramadan. It also instills values in students such as generosity, helping others, and more. Additionally, it involves students in humanitarian work, with 10 to 15 students from each school participating in the distribution throughout the holy month.

Noblest Values

This initiative has been welcomed by the directors of the schools selected to participate in this program. In this regard, Mrs. Zeinab Al-Rayashi, the director of Al-Wakra Secondary School for Girls, said, "We are pleased with the Ministry of Education's selection of our school to participate in the ‘Ramadan Supply’ initiative, through which we aim to instill the noblest values like cooperation in students."

Al-Rayashi added, "We involve both students and the administrative and academic staff, as well as parents, in this wonderful charitable initiative. We thank the Ministry and Qatar Charity for offering the opportunity to participate in this humanitarian endeavor during the blessed month."

Mrs. Mariam Al-Muslimani, the Islamic education coordinator at Al Obeib Independent Primary School for Girls, commented, "Ramadan Supply is a wonderful humanitarian initiative that promotes the values of social solidarity and assists needy families. It also provides students with the opportunity to participate in charitable activities. This initiative underscores the Ministry of Education and Higher Education's keenness on nurturing the younger generations on the noble values of Islam.

Al-Muslimani mentioned, "The students and parents participated in providing food baskets containing essential supplies. The students competed with a spirit of cooperation and generosity to offer the best during the month of goodness."

Mr. Abdulrahman Mohammad Al-Hajri, Director of the Programs and Community Development Department at Qatar Charity, expressed, “We are delighted to collaborate with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in implementing their charitable initiative for the second year, in partnership with the students. Through this initiative, we aim to assist families with limited income by providing them with essential supplies and engage students in humanitarian and charitable work to acquaint them with the principles and values of charitable endeavors and instill the value of giving in their hearts."

‘Endless Giving’

It is worth mentioning that Qatar Charity has launched its Ramadan campaign ‘Endless Giving’, targeting 4.2 million people within Qatar and in 40 countries around the world. The campaign aims to implement a range of seasonal and developmental projects, including Feed the Fasting, Eid Clothing, and Zakat Al-Fitr, in addition to building the world’s largest multi-service city for orphans in Turkiye. This is contingent upon the expected donations and the anticipated support from benefactors for the campaign.
