About Kosovo
The Republic of Kosovo is a landlocked country located in the Western Balkans, in Southeastern Europe. It covers an area of approximately 10,887 square kilometers. The capital and largest city is Pristina. Kosovo operates as a parliamentary republic with democratic institutions and a multi-party system. The official languages are Albanian and Serbian, and the currency in use is the Euro (EUR). With a population of approximately 1.6 million, Kosovo has a youthful demographic and a growing economy driven by sectors such as services, construction, and remittances from the diaspora. The country is a member of several regional and international initiatives and aspires to join the European Union and other global organizations.
