About Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is located in the Indian Ocean north of the equator between latitudes (6°) and (10°) north and longitudes (80°) and (82°) east. Its width from east to west is (225) km and its length from north to south is (435) km. It is in the south of India and is separated from it by a (strait) that is no more than (20) miles wide. It is bordered by the Bay of Bengal from the northeast. Sri Lanka has a population of about 22.04 million people.
