Qatar Charity Participates in Global Partnerships Conference in London
Qatar Charity (QC) took part in the Global Partnerships Conference, held in London on May 19–20, 2026, as part of the State of Qatar’s delegation. The organization was represented by Ms. Aisha Abdulrazzaq AlKuwari, Director of Humanitarian Operations.
The conference was co-organized by the UK Government, the Government of the Republic of South Africa, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and British International Investment (BII). It is regarded as one of the leading international platforms focusing on the future of global partnerships and the financing of humanitarian and development efforts, bringing together governments, international institutions, humanitarian and development organizations, donors, and the private sector.
Qatar Charity’s participation reflects its commitment to strengthening its international presence and expanding its network of strategic partnerships. It attended several panel discussions and bilateral meetings with international partners and organizations. These engagements seek to explore avenues for cooperation and exchange expertise and insights on the most pressing current humanitarian challenges and response mechanisms.
The conference addressed several key areas, including the development of international partnership models, the strengthening of locally led humanitarian action, response to crises and conflicts, anticipatory social protection, and displacement solutions, alongside exploring innovative financing mechanisms to address global humanitarian challenges.
The conference also featured in-depth discussions on the implications of declining traditional development financing for the world’s most vulnerable communities, amid escalating global challenges such as conflict, climate change, fragile health systems, economic instability, and forced displacement. Participants emphasized the importance of advancing flexible partnership models that bring together governments, multilateral institutions, the private sector, and civil society, enabling the development of more sustainable and adaptive solutions to rapidly evolving humanitarian challenges.
