Qatar Charity congratulates leadership, people in Qatar on Eid al-Fitr
Qatar Charity (QC) extended its heartfelt congratulations and sincere wishes to the Qatari leadership, government and people on Eid al-Fitr, praying to Allah the Almighty that peace, harmony, and happiness would prevail everywhere in the world.
On this occasion, Qatar Charity also offered the best wishes to benefactors in Qatar and all the philanthropists who have supported its projects worldwide throughout the year, and all those who have contributed to the success of its “Ramadan, the Gift of Giving” campaign launched for the current year (1440/2019).
Yousif bin Ahmed al-Kuwari, CEO of Qatar Charity, expressed his sincerest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Emir of Qatar, the Qatari government, people, residents, and Arab and Muslim nations across the globe on Eid al-Fitr.
Al-Kuwari also called upon Allah the Almighty to grant to Qatar further safety, security, stability, prosperity, peace and progress, and keep all harm away from it, so that it can remain, as it has always been known as a beacon of good and aid to those in need throughout the world. He also prayed to Allah the Almighty for lasting peace and prosperity in the Arab and Muslim world.
Al-Kuwari extended special thanks to all those who responded to or interacted with Qatar Charity’s “Ramadan, the Gift of Giving” campaign, including benefactors in Qatar, public and private sector institutions, sponsors and all those who provided support to its projects and activities within and outside Qatar such as social media influencers, media figures, volunteers and youth initiatives.
He also emphasized that the seasonal projects, including Iftar, food baskets, Eid clothes, Zakat al-Fitr, relief aid and other activities have had a positive impact on millions at home and abroad, especially people in crisis and difficult humanitarian conditions. Also, the projects contributed to bringing joy to the poor, the needy, the displaced, orphans and underprivileged families, al-Kuwari added.
As doing good is not limited to the holy month of Ramadan and it should continue throughout the year, the CEO of Qatar Charity took the opportunity to urge philanthropists in the country to continue to support the needy and poor with their generosity, praying to Allah the Almighty to accept “our good deeds and multiply our rewards”.
At the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, Qatar Charity launched the “Ramadan, the Gift of Giving” campaign, which included several seasonal projects, food aid, public programmes, and community initiatives implemented at the cost of QR71.8mn, benefiting 3.4 million people in Qatar and in 30 other countries of the world.
