QC implements many development projects in Kosovo

Qatar Charity (QC) has delivered a number of developmental projects it implemented for orphans, widows and the needy to Mayor of Mitrovica Agim Bahtiri in Kosovo for distribution to beneficiaries.


The initiative consists of 60 projects. Qatar Charity has also signed an agreement with the municipality of Mitrovica to implement 50 new projects during the next phase.


The mayor thanked the Qatari people for their support in establishing the Development Projects and expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of Qatar Charity and its efforts in helping the needy and orphans, making a tangible impact on the lives of the beneficiary families.


On his part, Mahmoud Abbas, director of the Qatar Charity Office in Kosovo, said that the efforts of the organisation would continue to increase in order to protect the needy groups and raise their financial and social level through an integrated mechanism to promote beneficiary areas in Kosovo, particularly the city of Mitrovica.


He affirmed Qatar Charity's keenness to continue its efforts to implement projects in countries around the world and to work hard to help families to benefit from the projects.


He thanked Qatar's donors for their generous donations to establish Qatar Charity projects.
The Qatar Charity Office in Kosovo covers various segments of the society in various fields, especially orphans, the handicapped and families as the number of sponsored has reached more than 1,730.


Qatar Charity's projects in Kosovo also include education and training sector with more than 6,000 beneficiaries in QC's Qatar Training Center, more than 250 Income generating Projects, over 200 water sanitation and supply projects along with 20 mosques and houses.
