Qatar Charity concludes ‘Wathiq’ summer program

Qatar Charity (QC) has recently concluded the ‘Wathiq’ summer program, which was launched on July 4, in cooperation with Qatar University and Ajial Educational Center with the aim of providing children and youth with cultural knowledge and life and sports skills.

Some 40 male and female students aged 5-14 years took part in the month-long summer program. The students, both male and female’ were separately divided into the age groups of ‘5-9’ and ‘10-14’.

At the end of the summer program, Qatar Charity’s Programs and Community Development Department director Fatima Jumah al-Mohannadi thanked everyone who contributed to the success of this program, especially Qatar University, Ajial Educational Center, and supporters, including the Ministry of Environment and Municipality and National Service Academy (Miqdam Camp). She also appreciated the efforts of all trainers, supervisors and volunteers.

She added that the program comes within the framework of Qatar Charity's keenness to spend the summer vacation of students in enjoyable and useful activities that provide them with knowledge and life and sports skills and develop their capabilities.

Mr. Mukhtar Al-Kinti from Ajial Educational Center said that ‘Wathiq’ was the result of fruitful cooperation between Qatar Charity as a leading development organization and Ajial Educational Center as a vital source of educational programs and activities. He indicated that the program included many meaningful and purposeful activities to discover and develop the talents of the participants.

The participants and their parents valued the benefits that the participants received through this program.

“Wathiq was very helpful to utilize our times in useful activities that benefit us in our life,” said the student Abdul Rahman Khaled.

Another student, Muhammad Adnan Al-Emadi, said that the program contributed to improving the talents and capabilities of the participants, adding that “it has strengthened self-strength in us, and we hope that such programs will continue in the future.

The mother of Khaled Al-Khalidi stated that ‘Wathiq’ is one of the best programs that taught children many remarkable values and raised the level of their self-confidence.

Mrs. Maryam Al Nuaimi, the mother of Maryam and Issa Al Nuaimi, said that the children have benefited greatly from this program, as they learned self-reliance and creative thinking and acquired new skills.

The father of the student Abdur Rahman Khalid noted the changes made by ‘Wathiq’ as he discovered in his children abilities, skills and talents due to their participation in the program.
