QC signed a partnership agreement with Almaha Medical to improve the health conditions and prevent diseases by focusing on health education and training projects and providing medical care to poor people, patients of chronic disease, and those with special needs inside and outside Qatar, implementing medical projects according to the principles of human dignity and social justice.
Faisal Rashid Alfahidh, Executive Director for Operations Management at Qatar Charity and Dr. Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Naimi, General Director at Almaha Medical, signed the agreement at the QC headquarter. By signing this agreement, QC aims at addressing the significant shortage of medical staff in poor countries through preparing a comprehensive scientific plan that train a large number of nurses, paramedics and midwives to fill the gap in the health sector.
The agreement consists of three main areas:
First, promoting the humanitarian mission of QC to improve the health level and prevent diseases by focusing on educational health projects, providing health care to needy people and people with chronic disease inside and outside Qatar and organizing medical campaigns locally and internationally.
Second, providing medical aids that help fill the severe shortage of medical staff in poor countries and combating the most widespread and deadly diseases.
Third, establishing a healthy platform to monitor the needs of people in all QC areas of intervention. By virtue of this agreement, Almaha Medical and its relationships with governments and ministries of health are at the disposal of QC.
Faisal Rashid Alfahidh, Executive Director for Operations Management at Qatar Charity, said; “QC seeks to develop its performance and improve its services for the benefit of humanity and therefore had made this agreement”.
Alfahidh pointed out that the importance of agreement lies in the joint organization of medical campaigns locally and internationally to reduce the spread of infectious diseases and epidemics, the mortality rate among children and pregnant women and provide basic health services (health centers, hospital, clinics, etc.)
For his part, Mr. Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Naimi, Director General of Almaha Medical Company, said that they have a very strong relationship with QC built on consultation, cooperation and coordination, pointing out that delegation from Almaha Medical and QC had made field visits to Emel Hospital at Al-Rehaniya.
Al Naimi added that this agreement embodies a true partnership between the two parties.
