Qatar Charity (QC) and Al Hattab For Food Stuffs signed an agreement, under which the company obtained the Charity Partner (CP) trademark under the bronze category.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Ahmad Yousef Fakhroo, CEO’s assistant for the Resources Development and Media Sector at Qatar Charity, and Mr. Abdel Aziz Saad Al Kaabi, vice chairman & managing director of Al Hattab Holding.
Mr. Ahmed Omar Al-Shirawi, Head of Relations and Social Responsibility section at Qatar Charity, welcomed Al Hattab For Food Stuffs into the CP program, noting that the company was granted the CP trademark, which is the world’s first certificate in the field of humanitarian work support, and is granted to companies within the framework of social responsibility.
Al-Shirawi called on all local and international companies and agencies to join the CP program to enjoy its many advantages and promote the principle of humanitarian partnership for the service of societies, expecting that ten companies would join the CP program during the current year.
Mr. Muhammad Fahmi, the business consultant of Al Hattab Holding and general manager of Al Hattab For Food Stuffs, said that the signing of the agreement is an important step to strengthen cooperation with Qatar Charity, thanking it for its humanitarian efforts and contributions across the world. "We are glad that we have been awarded the title of ‘Charity Partner’ by Qatar Charity, and we are proud of this achievement,” added Fahmi.
He stated that the company’s support includes allocating a percentage of revenues from some products for the benefit of orphans, in addition to cooperation in various activities like sponsoring certain events and participating in providing food products.
CP is a special mark given by Qatar Charity to companies, various bodies and institutions under strategic partnerships, according to different conditions and levels related to the social returns and positive impact of these partnerships on those who benefit from Qatar Charity worldwide. CP shows the commitment of these bodies to their responsibilities towards society. It is also one of the ways to support development projects by allocating a certain percentage of revenues from products or services that obtain this mark.
