Qatar Charity, EAA Foundation sign agreement to run Fourth Assalam School

Qatar Charity (QC) and Education Above All (EAA) Foundation signed a cooperation agreement to run the Fourth Assalam School for 5 years, aiming to address the issue of children, who are not enrolled in formal educational institutions in Qatar.

The pact was signed by Mr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, CEO of Qatar Charity and Mr. Fahad Hamad Al-Sulaiti, CEO of the EAA Foundation.

The Fourth Assalam School teaches a curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, offering an academic track with an added applied-skills component to facilitate access to high school completion and the acquisition of hands-on and occupationally-aligned skills.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Yousef bin Ahmed al-Kuwari, CEO of Qatar Charity, expressed his happiness at the continuation of cooperation and the extension of the partnership between Qatar Charity and the EAA Foundation to provide equal opportunities, through the Assalam Schools, for children of low-income families in Qatar.

"Qatar Charity's support for the Assalam Schools, since their establishment, stems from its firm commitment to ensuring quality education for all children around the world,” said the CEO of Qatar Charity.

“We will continue working with the EAA Foundation, under the leadership of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, aiming to ensure inclusive and quality education for all children, which is among the sustainable development goals, and contributes to achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030.”

“We at Qatar Charity realize that we have a moral responsibility to mobilize resources and expertise to expand education systems to support the most vulnerable groups, like children from low-income families, children with disabilities, and marginalized youth.”

Mr. Fahad Hamad Al-Sulaiti, CEO of the EAA Foundation, praised Qatar Charity's support for the Assalam Schools, and thanked the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, which provided an educational facility for the fourth Assalam School.

"The Fourth Assalam Schools is initiating for the 2021-2022 Academic Year, serving boys aged 11 to 18. The School will be positioned to offer both regular morning and evening shifts" Mr. Al-Sulaiti added.

It is worth noting that this agreement is an extension of Qatar Charity's cooperation with the EAA Foundation in supporting and running First Assalam School that were established on 2019 for the benefit of children who were deprived of education for various reasons.
