Qatar Charity Social Development Centre – Communities, in cooperation with Naseem Medical Center, organized various activities to mark International Women’s Day. More than 200 expatriate women from various communities took part in the event.

The event focused on highlighting the role and achievements of women in various fields, shedding light on their status and rights, and appreciating their efforts, as they represent half of society, in addition to presenting different ideas for women's empowerment.

The events comprised literary, cultural, and arti competitions, entertainment shows, and free medical examinations for women, which included sugar, pressure, cholesterol, weight, and obesity tests, in addition to consultations on dental health and awareness session on the need to exercise.

The literary contests included poetry writing, article writing, caption writing, and speech, while the art contests comprised henna designing, recycling, pencil drawing, and salad making.  There were three winners in each category of the literary and art competitions.

Dr. Munir Ali Ibrahim, General Manager of the Naseem Healthcare group, expressed his happiness with the participation of Naeem Medical Center in this event, which comes within the framework of the group's social responsibility and continuous cooperation with Qatar Charity. He said that Naseem Medical Center provided medical consultations and examinations for women.  He indicated that the event provided an excellent opportunity for women to showcase their talents and celebrate their achievements.
