Al Kuwairi:
QC inaugurated the sacrifices campaign for the year 1437 under the title “Your Sacrifice, Their Eid” which seeks to provide 26,040 sacrifices of cows and goats in 37 countries from Asia, Africa, and Europe.
This year’s campaign included distributing sacrifices inside and outside Qatar, providing chances for substitute Hajj, feeding the pilgrims, paying atonements and vows, the wqf, the Charity of the Ten Days of Dhul Hiijah, offering the pilgrims’ presents and the Eid clothing inside and outside Qatar. Tends and thousands of people will benefit from these projects whose estimated cost is 23,280,000.00 QR.
Outside Qatar
This year’s campaign targets 36 countries from 3 continents: Asia, Africa and Europe. It seeks to provide 23,040 sacrifices of cows and muttons at a cost of more than 11,000,000 QR.
Inside Qatar
This campaign targets distributing 3,000 sacrifices from which 14,400 people would benefit inside Qatar. The total cost of the project is 1,400,000 QR. The sacrifices will be distributed on the third and fourth days of Eid Al Adha to the families of the orphans, indebted and widows. In addition, many communities, individuals, and single people will receive shares, as well. The eid clothing will be distributed to orphans and needy children; the cost of this part of the project is more than 500,000 QR. Multiple educational, cultural and valuable activities and events will be held during the ‘Your Sacrifice Their Eid’ campaign.
New Projects
Al Kuwairi also said, “This year’s campaign will include paying atonements and vows, the charity of the ten of Dhu Al-Hijjah, and offering the pilgrims’ presents. There will be other programs that are annually implemented such as substitute hajj, pilgrims’ meals, eid clothing inside and outside Qatar, pilgrims’ feeding and other cultural, educational and valuable events.

Mr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kwairi, QC’s CEO, said, “During this time of the year, QC opens doors for good-doers to make other less fortunate people happy. There are hundreds and thousands of need people in different countries. We can help them have better life through such projects. “Your Sacrifice Their Eid” campaign is a way to revive the sunnah of Abraham (PBUH)”.
Congratulating the Qatari People
Al Kuwairi congratulated the Qatari people and the Islamic nation for the occasion of Eid and prayed for a season of giving, worshiping, and generosity.
Al Kuwairi encouraged the good-doers to make use of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah and to donate for the project which would help increase the number of sacrifices offered. “There are millions of Muslim families that are poor and rarely eat meat. They only get to eat it in Eid. They need us,” he said.
Troubled Areas
A huge share of the sacrifices is allocated for countries that suffer from exceptional circumstances. This year 490 sacrifices of cows will be distributed in Palestine and the Palestinian camps outside at an estimated cost of 735,000.0 QR; Syrians in Syria and refugees in Turey, Jordan and Lebanon will receive more than 1,027 sacrifices of mutton at a cost of more than 1,027,000.00 QR.
QC seeks to distribute 4,646 sacrifices of mutton to Somalia at a cost of 1,858,400.0 QR; other 2,632 in Yemen at a cost of 1,447,600.00 QR; and 4,195 at a cost of 1,258,500.00 QR. In addition the prices will be set according to the nature and circumstances of the country where the slaughter will take place.

QC offers to the donors multiple options regarding the people benefiting from their sacrifices. They can send their sacrifices to Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Somalia, Qatar, Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon, Sudan, Kenya, Djibouti, Mali, Togo, Nepal, India, Chad, Mauritania, Yemen, Bangladesh, Benin, Gambia, Seri Lanka, Niger, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia, Kosovo, the Comoros, Albania, Philippine, Ghana, Jordan and Bosnia.
Donation Methods
People can donate to ‘Your Sacrifice Their Eid’ campaign through QC’s application, website: qcharity.org, the collection points and branches in the city, or through the hotline 44667711. When donating more than 5,000 QR, donors can call for house collectors through QC’s application.
