About Tunisia

Economically, Tunisia relies on several sectors, including tourism, agriculture, and manufacturing industries, and it is among the world's leading producers of olive oil. Tunisia is also a member of several international organizations and maintains good relations with various countries. The gross domestic product (GDP) is approximately $53.5 billion, with a GDP per capita of $4,354.5. The inflation rate reached 5.9% in March 2025, compared to 5.7% in February.
From a social perspective, Tunisia faces some economic challenges, as around 0.2 million people live below the poverty line, earning less than $3.65 per day.
