Qatar Charity (QC) launched the  the E-link process between QC GATE system and the World-Check system, one of the Thomson Reuters' systems specialized in information management and international databases.

The World-Check system unifies international databases and links them to the World Check  systems.  This  contributes to minimizing  risks, in addition to increasing the efficiency and accuracy of decisions. It also facilitates the process of verification of partners,  to achieve a high level of transparency and accountability.

This step comes to achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030 and responds to the RACA’s goals of developing organizations operating in the charity sector and learn from the best experiences worldwide.

Qatar Charity is the first Charitable Organization in the Middle East to apply this system in the humanitarian field in order to improve its performance and achieve the best practices and the highest standards of transparency. This means that Qatar Charity leads the change in the field of charitable work, This will enables QC to reach the largest number of beneficiaries and perform its  humanitarian mission effectively  and accurately. This system is used in banking systems and financial institutions.

This system is one of the innovative solutions used by Qatar Charity to enhance the capabilities and mechanisms of its work carried out globally through its field offices. Qatar Charity has 27 field offices and implements projects in 70 countries.

Qatar Charity recently introduced the governance sector within its administrative and organizational structure and adopted a set of policies that govern the work at Qatar Charity. A very advanced phase of these policies, mechanisms and work methodologies have been achieved and applied within Qatar Charity’s different department.

Mohammed Ali Al Ghamdi, Chief Governance Officer at Qatar Charity, said, “Qatar Charity is one of the first organizations to utilize electronic techniques in the field of donation tracking , systems and mobile Apps. This aims to reduce cost, increase efficiency and minimize human errors.

He added that Qatar Charity, due to its membership in many international platforms, has to respond to  requirements related to charitable work. Over the past five years, Qatar Charity has invested in its  systems.

He also noted that such systems always place Qatar Charity at the forefront of humanitarian organizations and provide opportunities of partnership and cooperation with many sister organizations working in the same goals.

Al-Ghamdi pointed out that Qatar Charity has been using the World-Check system since 2015, but today’s decision is an advanced step.

Mr. Saleh Ali AlKhaldi, director of the Legal Affairs Unit at RACA, said, “RACA pays special attention to systems that facilitate due diligence measures to protect charitable work and the reputation of Qatari charitable organizations around the world according to international norms and standards. He also noted that RACA encourages other charities to keep abreast of these developments in order to increase the effectiveness of risk management and shift from reliance on independent systems towards building unified and interconnected systems.

Mohammed Al Yazidi, executive director of the Information Technology Department at Qatar Charity, reviewed QC's use of technology at all stages of work. He pointed out to the qualitative leap by Qatar Charity in the use of technology in its fields of work through various systems such as collection systems, project management, donor reports, sponsorship system, and financial system in addition to Mobile Applications.

Al Yazidi added that the size of considerable revenues, the number of implementing partners, the number of beneficiaries, the improvement in the quality of projects, the provision of resources, the quick delivery of services to beneficiaries, and the compliance with international standards and controls have motivated Qatar Charity to use technology significantly.

He also noted that the system would have an additional value in terms of gaining time, accuracy of information, reduction of cost, minimization of human error and quick delivery, indicating that the use of the World-check system is one of the best ways to choose partners for Qatar Charity.

Ahmed Hafez, expressed his appreciation for the cooperation with Qatar Charity, pointing out to adopting and applying the latest advanced technologies and global solutions by Qatar Charity. This affirms its pioneering vision to modernize and develop the charity work structure locally and regionally.

He also applauded the role played by Qatar Charity in Charitable and Humanitarian work, which was evident through many partnerships and strategic agreements with a number of significant international and regional organizations in this field.

It is worth mentioning that Qatar Charity is the first of its kind in the Middle East to use these modern systems, which are applied by international organizations to carry out their work, and employ them for development and humanitarian work.
