About Gambia

The Gambia is a small country located in the west of Africa, surrounded by Senegal on all sides except for its western coast along the Atlantic Ocean. The capital is Banjul, and the official language is English. Its population is approximately 2.6 million. The climate is tropical, hot and humid during the rainy season from June to November, and dry from November to May. The poverty rate in The Gambia is high, with about 82.9% of the population living on less than 2 dollars a day, while 59.3% suffer from extreme poverty.

Economy - It heavily depends on agriculture and tourism, making it vulnerable to global economic fluctuations.

Education - It suffers from lack of funding and infrastructure, affecting the quality of education and opportunities for youth.

Health - There is limited healthcare services, especially in rural areas.

Infrastructure- Weak Road, electricity, and water networks hinder economic and social development. It ranks 172nd according to the Human Development Index.
