Russian version of “Future’s Writers-1” launched

The Russian version of the stories of the “Future’s Writers-1” project has been launched under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Salah Bin Ghanim Al Ali, Minister of Culture and Sports.

The project is implemented by Qatar Charity (International Humanitarian Organization) in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Qatar University, “Khair Jalees” Book Club, Dar Rosa Publishing and Barwa Bank.

The launch of the Russian version came within the framework of the Qatar-Russia 2018 Year of Culture. The version will be available in the Qatari pavilion at the Moscow International Book Fair two days later.

The ceremony held in the House of Wisdom at the Ministry of Culture and Sports yesterday, was attended by CEO of Qatar Charity, Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Ibrahim Hashim Al-Sada, president of Qatari Forum For Authors and Aisha Al Kuwari, CEO of Dar Rosa Publishing in addition to the cultural counselor at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Qatar

The “Future’s Writers” project is aimed at improving students' writing skills and nurturing their talents in creativity.

The idea of the project is to hold writing competitions among students and to provide workshops to improve their skills.

Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, CEO of Qatar Charity expressed his pleasure at launching the Russian version of the stories of the “Future’s Writers-1” project, considering that this will contribute to spreading the Qatari culture and introducing the local young talents to the world. 

Al-Kuwari added that the upcoming versions of the project would be better and more inclusive and incentives would be provided to all students participating in the project’s competitions.

Al-Kuwari thanked the Ministry of Culture and Sports and other QC’s partners for this important effort.

Ibrahim Hashim Al-Sada, president of Qatari Forum For Authors congratulated Qatar Charity (International Humanitarian Organization) for its efforts and considered the charity an important partner of the Ministry and the Qatari Forum For Authors in drawing the cultural image of Qatar in the future. He also expressed his hope to strengthen this partnership and expand the scope of translating the books of the upcoming versions of the project.

The cultural counselor at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Qatar said the translated stories would play a key role in strengthening relations between the Qatari and Russian peoples.
